Liability Waiver & Assumption of Risk
Company: Neighbors & Lights LLC
1. Acknowledgment of Risk
Client understands that exterior holiday lighting and décor installation involves the use of ladders, tools, and working at height
on roofs, gutters, and elevated surfaces. There are inherent risks of slips, falls, electrical issues, and property damage.
2. Condition of Property
Client represents and warrants that:
- The property is in reasonably safe condition for work to be performed.
- Client has disclosed any known hazards, including structural issues, weak roofs, loose gutters, rotten wood, unstable surfaces, or faulty electrical systems.
3. Waiver of Claims
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Client releases and discharges Neighbors & Lights LLC, its Members, employees, and contractors
from any and all claims, demands, or causes of action arising from:
- Injuries to Client or third parties on the property during or after installation, except where caused by Company’s gross negligence or willful misconduct.
- Damage to property resulting from pre-existing weaknesses, deterioration, or hazards not disclosed to Company.
- Damage caused by weather events, animals, vandalism, or third parties after installation is complete.
4. Installer Safety & Authority
- Company’s installers have full authority to stop work or modify the installation plan if they believe conditions are unsafe.
- Client may not require installers to perform work in areas they deem unsafe or beyond reasonable risk.
5. Indemnification
Client agrees to indemnify and hold harmless Neighbors & Lights LLC from any claims or damages arising from:
- Client’s failure to disclose known hazards.
- Client’s unauthorized modification or misuse of installed lights, cords, or décor.
- Injuries to third parties caused by Client’s misuse or alteration of the installation.
6. Agreement
By booking services, approving quotes, or permitting work to begin, Client acknowledges that they have read, understand, and agree to this
