Service Agreement
Company: Neighbors & Lights LLC (“Company”)
Client: The customer identified in the corresponding quote or invoice (“Client”)
1. Scope of Work
Company agrees to provide holiday lighting and/or décor installation, exterior lighting, and related Services as described in the
accepted quote or invoice. This may include installation, maintenance during the season, and removal of décor.
2. Project Schedule & Weather Delays
- Installation dates are approximate and may be adjusted based on weather, safety, and workload.
- Company may reschedule installations or removals due to rain, snow, ice, high winds, or other unsafe conditions.
- Weather-related delays do not entitle Client to a refund of deposits or fees, but Company will make reasonable efforts to reschedule promptly.
3. Customer Responsibilities
- Provide clear, safe access to the property, including driveway, walkways, and roof access points.
- Ensure all outdoor electrical outlets used for the installation are functional, properly grounded, and GFCI-protected where appropriate.
- Keep pets, children, and guests away from work areas while installers are on-site.
- Inform Company of any known hazards (loose shingles, weak decking, rotten wood, unstable railings, etc.).
- Not alter or move lights, clips, cords, or décor installed by Company without Company’s consent.
4. Installer Safety & Right to Refuse Work
- Company has the right to refuse or stop any portion of the installation if it determines conditions are unsafe.
- Company is not required to perform work on extremely steep roofs, fragile surfaces, or areas that present unreasonable risk.
- If safety concerns prevent completion of certain design elements, Company will discuss alternatives with Client.
5. Materials & Equipment
- For Company-supplied lights, cords, timers, and décor, Company is responsible for providing properly functioning materials at installation.
- For Client-supplied lights or décor, Company will install them on a best-effort basis but makes no guarantee regarding product performance or longevity.
6. No-Charge Repair / Workmanship Guarantee
During the current holiday season, for Company-supplied lighting and décor:
- If a section of lights or décor fails under normal use, Company will make reasonable repairs or replacements at no additional charge within a reasonable time after notification.
- Client must notify Company promptly of any issues. Excessive delays in reporting may affect our ability to make timely repairs.
- This guarantee does not cover damage or issues caused by weather, animals, vandalism, power surges, Client tampering, or third-party interference.
7. Property Damage & Limitations
Client understands that:
- Holiday lighting may require attachment to roofs, gutters, fascia, siding, brick, or landscaping.
- Minor marks or wear from clips, fasteners, or attachments may occur and are considered normal.
- Company is not responsible for damage resulting from pre-existing conditions such as brittle shingles, loose gutters, rotten wood, or old paint.
8. Payment Terms
- Client agrees to pay the non-refundable deposit and balance as set forth in the quote or invoice.
- Unpaid balances may result in suspension of services and/or removal of installed décor.
9. Term & Termination
This Agreement is effective upon Client’s acceptance of the quote or invoice and continues through the removal of décor, unless terminated earlier.
Company may terminate this Agreement for non-payment, unsafe conditions, or Client’s material breach of these terms.
10. Dispute Resolution
Any dispute arising from this Agreement shall first be addressed through good-faith discussions. If not resolved, it shall be handled in
accordance with the Governing Law and Venue provisions stated in the Terms & Conditions.
